U-M is a very large public school located in the medium-sized city of Ann Arbor. U-M did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our Best Colleges for Visual & Performing Arts in Michigan list.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Wayne State University. Located in the city of Detroit, Wayne State is a public college with a fairly large student population. Wayne State did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #4 on our Best Colleges for Visual & Performing Arts in Michigan list.
