With 149,215 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, visual and performing arts is the 10th most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, visual and performing arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $26,700 and had an average of $25,051 in loans still to pay off.
Across the New England region, there were 9,409 visual and performing arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,863 and $25,521 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 6,969 visual and performing arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,403 and $25,944 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Visual & Performing Arts for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 60 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in visual and performing arts. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent visual and performing arts programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the visual and performing arts program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
The following schools top our list of the Best “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Visual & Performing Arts for a Bachelor’s”.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Brown University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Visual & Performing Arts for a Bachelor’s list. Brown is a fairly large school located in Providence, Rhode Island that handed out 83 bachelors’s visual and performing arts degrees in 2020-2021.
