Black Hills State University landed the #9 spot on the 2024 Best Associate Degree Schools in South Dakota ranking. BHSU is a public institution located in Spearfish, South Dakota. The school has a small population, and it awarded 44 associate degrees in 2020-2021.

With a ranking of #11, Oglala Lakota College did quite well on the 2024 Best Associate Degree Schools in South Dakota list. Located in Kyle, South Dakota, the small public school handed out 87 associate degrees in 2020-2021.
