After analyzing 12 schools in the New England Region , we came up with our list of those that offered the best educational experiences for Sri Lankan students in the New England Region. Instead of depending on subjective information, we focus on objective factors to determine this ranking. These factors include such things as the total number of international students at the school and the school's overall value.

UMass Amherst is a public institution located in Amherst, Massachusetts. The school has a large population, and it awarded 6,844 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

International students make up 10.6% of the total student body at the school. The top three countries sending students to study at UMass Amherst are China, India, and South Korea. Yearly tuition and fees (out-of-state) for undergraduates at UMass Amherst runs, on average, about $36,964. The average tuition and fees for graduate programs is $32,809 per year.

Kingston, Rhode Island is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelor’s degrees to 3,855 students in 2020-2021.

Of the total number of students at the school, 2.6% are international. Students studying at URI come from such countries as China, India, and South Korea. This fairly large public school is located in Orono, Maine, and it awarded 2,012 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Of the total number of students at the school, 3.7% are international. The top three countries sending students to study at UMaine are China, Canada, and Saudi Arabia. The excellent bachelor’s degree programs at University of Connecticut helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the best schools for Sri Lankan students in the New England Region. Located in Storrs, Connecticut, the large public school awarded 5,991 diplomas to qualified bachelor’s degree students in 2020-2021.

Around 13.1% of the total student population at the school is international. Students studying at UCONN come from such countries as China, India, and South Korea. Out-of-state tuition and fees for undergraduates at UCONN is about $41,192 a year, on average. The average tuition and fees for graduate programs is $42,237 per year.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology landed the #8 spot on the 2021 Best Value Colleges for Sri Lankan Students in the New England Region. MIT is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 1,249 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.
