Our analysis found University of Maryland - Baltimore County to be the best affordable school for Vietnamese students in Maryland in this year’s ranking. University of Maryland - Baltimore County is a fairly large public school located in Baltimore, Maryland that handed out 2,725 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of the total number of students at the school, 8.0% are international. The top three countries sending students to study at UMBC are India, China, and Saudi Arabia. Yearly tuition and fees (out-of-state) for undergraduates at UMBC runs, on average, about $28,470. The average tuition and fees for graduate programs is $23,580 per year.

This large private not-for-profit school is located in Baltimore, Maryland, and it awarded 1,847 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of the total number of students at the school, 19.2% are international. Students from as far away as China, India, and South Korea come to Johns Hopkins to study. Yearly tuition and fees (out-of-state) for undergraduates at Johns Hopkins runs, on average, about $58,720. Graduate students pay around $61,202 a year in average tuition and fees.
The student-to-faculty ratio of 6 to 1 is a sign that students will have more opportunities to engage with their professors one-on-one.
