University of South Florida - Main Campus tops this year’s ranking as the best school for Bahamian students in the Southeast Region. Located in Tampa, Florida, the large public school handed out 10,333 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 8.6% of the total student population at the school is international. Students studying at USF Tampa come from such countries as India, China, and Saudi Arabia.
With a freshman retention rate of 92%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

A rank of #2 on our list means Emory University is a great place for Bahamian students in the Southeast Region working on their bachelor’s degree. Emory is located in Atlanta, Georgia and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 2,691 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.
Around 15.5% of the total student population at the school is international. The top three countries sending students to study at Emory are China, South Korea, and India.
The student-to-faculty ratio of 9 to 1 is a sign that students will have more opportunities to engage with their professors one-on-one.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Miami. The school came in at #4 in this year’s ranking. U Miami is a fairly large private not-for-profit school situated in Coral Gables, Florida. It awarded 3,348 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
International students make up 13.3% of the total student body at the school. Students from as far away as China, Kuwait, and Venezuela come to U Miami to study.
