We analyzed 17 colleges and universities across the Southwest Region to determine which were the best for Peruvian students in the Southwest Region. Instead of depending on subjective information, we focus on objective factors to determine this ranking. These factors include such things as the total number of international students at the school and the school's overall quality.

The University of Texas at Austin tops this year’s ranking as the best school for Peruvian students in the Southwest Region. This large public school is located in Austin, Texas, and it awarded 10,592 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of the total number of students at the school, 8.3% are international. Students studying at UT Austin come from such countries as China, India, and South Korea.
With a freshman retention rate of 97%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

Out of the 17 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Southern Methodist University landed the #2 spot on the list. SMU is located in Dallas, Texas and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 2,105 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.
Of the total number of students at the school, 9.0% are international. Students studying at SMU come from such countries as China, India, and Saudi Arabia.

ASU - Tempe is a large public school situated in Tempe, Arizona. It awarded 14,829 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of the total number of students at the school, 10.4% are international. The top three countries sending students to study at ASU - Tempe are China, India, and Saudi Arabia.
