Our analysis looked at 10 schools in the New England Region to determine which ones were the best for Emirati students in the New England Region. To come up with this ranking, we look at a number of factors that are all objective measurements. These factors include the school's overall quality as determined by our Best Colleges ranking and the percentage of international students on campus.

Northeastern University tops this year’s ranking as the best school for Emirati students in the New England Region. Northeastern is located in Boston, Massachusetts and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 4,358 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.
International students make up 29.2% of the total student body at the school. The top three countries sending students to study at Northeastern are China, India, and Taiwan.
Students who start out at the school are likely to stick around. The freshman retention rate is 97%.

Out of the 10 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Boston University landed the #2 spot on the list. Boston U is located in Boston, Massachusetts and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 4,788 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.
International students make up 24.6% of the total student body at the school. Students studying at Boston U come from such countries as China, India, and South Korea.
Students who start out at the school are likely to stick around. The freshman retention rate is 92%.

The excellent bachelor’s degree programs at Harvard University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best schools for Emirati students in the New England Region. This large private not-for-profit school is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and it awarded 1,618 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
International students make up 22.9% of the total student body at the school. Students from as far away as China, Canada, and India come to Harvard to study.
The impressive student-to-faculty ratio of 5 to 1 means that students may have more opportunities to work more closely with their professors than they would at other schools.

A rank of #4 on our list means Bentley University is a great place for Emirati students in the New England Region working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in Waltham, Massachusetts, the medium-sized private not-for-profit school awarded 1,123 diplomas to qualified bachelor’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Of the total number of students at the school, 17.1% are international. The top three countries sending students to study at Bentley are China, India, and Venezuela.
With a freshman retention rate of 92%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Rhode Island School of Design. The school came in at #5 in this year’s ranking. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, the small private not-for-profit school awarded 438 diplomas to qualified bachelor’s degree students in 2020-2021.
International students make up 34.8% of the total student body at the school. Students studying at RISD come from such countries as China, South Korea, and Canada.

University of New Hampshire - Main Campus landed the #6 spot on the 2021 Best Colleges for Emirati Students in the New England Region. UNH is a public institution located in Durham, New Hampshire. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 3,343 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
International students make up 4.3% of the total student body at the school. The top three countries sending students to study at UNH are China, India, and Iran.
With a freshman retention rate of 86%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

With a ranking of #7, Suffolk University did quite well on the 2021 Best Colleges for Emirati Students in the New England Region. Suffolk is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school situated in Boston, Massachusetts. It awarded 1,159 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 15.2% of the total student population at the school is international. Students studying at Suffolk come from such countries as China, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam.

University of Massachusetts - Boston landed the #9 spot on the 2021 Best Colleges for Emirati Students in the New England Region. UMass Boston is a fairly large public school situated in Boston, Massachusetts. It awarded 2,801 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
International students make up 10.5% of the total student body at the school. Students studying at UMass Boston come from such countries as China, India, and South Korea.

University of Hartford ranked #10 on this year’s Best Colleges for Emirati Students in the New England Region list. UHart is a private not-for-profit institution located in West Hartford, Connecticut. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 1,025 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
International students make up 6.4% of the total student body at the school. The top three countries sending students to study at UHart are India, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.
