Arizona State University - Tempe tops this year’s ranking as the best school for Emirati students in the Southwest Region. Located in Tempe, Arizona, the large public school handed out 14,829 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of the total number of students at the school, 10.4% are international. The top three countries sending students to study at ASU - Tempe are China, India, and Saudi Arabia.
The school has an excellent freshman retention rate of 86%, which means students like the school well enough to return for a second year.

Out of the 9 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Rice University landed the #2 spot on the list. Located in Houston, Texas, the medium-sized private not-for-profit school awarded 1,364 diplomas to qualified bachelor’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Of the total number of students at the school, 23.3% are international. Students from as far away as China, India, and South Korea come to Rice to study.
Students who start out at the school are likely to stick around. The freshman retention rate is 97%.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Southern Methodist University. The school came in at #3 in this year’s ranking. Located in Dallas, Texas, the fairly large private not-for-profit school awarded 2,105 diplomas to qualified bachelor’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Around 9.0% of the total student population at the school is international. Students from as far away as China, India, and Saudi Arabia come to SMU to study.
With a freshman retention rate of 90%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

The excellent bachelor’s degree programs at University of Tulsa helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the best schools for Emirati students in the Southwest Region. University of Tulsa is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 794 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.
Around 10.8% of the total student population at the school is international. The top three countries sending students to study at University of Tulsa are China, Saudi Arabia, and Oman.

The excellent bachelor’s degree programs at University of Arizona helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the best schools for Emirati students in the Southwest Region. Tucson, Arizona is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelor’s degrees to 8,117 students in 2020-2021.
International students make up 6.7% of the total student body at the school. Students studying at University of Arizona come from such countries as China, India, and Saudi Arabia.

University of Houston did quite well in the 2021 Best Colleges for Emirati Students in the Southwest Region ranking, coming in at #6. Located in Houston, Texas, the large public school awarded 8,890 diplomas to qualified bachelor’s degree students in 2020-2021.
Of the total number of students at the school, 7.0% are international. Students studying at UH come from such countries as India, China, and Vietnam.
With a freshman retention rate of 86%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

Northern Arizona University did quite well in the 2021 Best Colleges for Emirati Students in the Southwest Region ranking, coming in at #7. NAU is located in Flagstaff, Arizona and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 6,331 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.
Around 2.2% of the total student population at the school is international. Students studying at NAU come from such countries as Kuwait, China, and Saudi Arabia.

New Mexico State University - Main Campus came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Best Colleges for Emirati Students in the Southwest Region ranking. NMSU Main Campus is a public institution located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 2,425 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 5.4% of the total student population at the school is international. The top three countries sending students to study at NMSU Main Campus are Kuwait, Mexico, and India.
