Our “Best Value HR Schools for a Bachelor’s in the New England Region” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.

In 2019-2020, 26,616 people earned their degree in human resource management, making the major the 43rd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, human resource management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,242 and had an average of $34,825 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 1,159 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,383 and $30,964 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 125 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,041 and $24,492 respectively.

For this year’s “Best Value HR Schools for a Bachelor’s in the New England Region” ranking, we looked at 14 colleges that offer a degree in human resource management. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality human resource management programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.

Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the human resource management program at the school and the cost of the school after aid is awarded among other things. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
