In 2020-2021, 52,916 people earned their degree in marketing, making the major the 17th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, marketing graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,991 and had an average of $25,213 in loans still to pay off.
Across the New England region, there were 3,773 marketing graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,712 and $25,661 respectively.
This year’s “Most Well Attended Marketing Major in the New England Region” ranking looked at 76 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in marketing. To top this list, a school must have a successful marketing program that graduates more students in the field than other colleges that offer the same major.
