In 2020-2021, 59,565 people earned their degree in computer science, making the major the 12th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, computer science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $67,538 and had an average of $23,620 in loans still to pay off.
Across Washington, there were 1,704 computer science graduates with average earnings and debt of $73,108 and $21,160 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Washington - Seattle Campus. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Washington for CompSci list. University of Washington - Seattle Campus is a public institution located in Seattle, Washington. The school has a large population, and it awarded 470 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Washington State University. The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in Washington for CompSci. Wazzu is a large school located in Pullman, Washington that handed out 222 ’s compsci degrees in 2020-2021.

Out of the 13 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Washington for CompSci that were part of this year’s ranking, Gonzaga University landed the #4 spot on the list. Gonzaga University is a medium-sized school located in Spokane, Washington that handed out 44 ’s compsci degrees in 2020-2021.
Gonzaga did well in our major quality rankings, too. Tacoma Community College landed the #8 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Washington for CompSci ranking. Tacoma Community College is a medium-sized school located in Tacoma, Washington that handed out 25 ’s compsci degrees in 2020-2021.
