It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for veterans. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Comparative Literature” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 8,539 people earned their degree in linguistics and comparative literature, making the major the 96th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, linguistics and comparative literature graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $28,017 and had an average of $21,130 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 838 linguistics and comparative literature graduates with average earnings and debt of $25,144 and $21,553 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Comparative Literature” ranking analyzed 15 colleges that offered a degree in linguistics and comparative literature. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent linguistics and comparative literature programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the linguistics and comparative literature program at the school. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
