Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Religious Ed” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 1,417 people earned their degree in religious education, making the major the 216th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, religious education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $30,694 and had an average of $27,203 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 281 religious education graduates with average earnings and debt of $32,488 and $25,578 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Religious Ed” ranking looked at 10 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in religious education. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality religious education programs as well as strong veteran support.

Top 10 Best Religious Education Colleges for Veterans in the Southeast Region
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Liberty University. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Religious Ed. Located in Lynchburg, Virginia, this large private not-for-profit school awarded 34 degrees to qualified ’s religious ed students in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our southeast region vets studying religious ed list, Liberty University has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 13,282 of the 93,349 students enrolled at Liberty University were GI Bill® students, of which 8,897 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $4,888. During this same period, 386 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students may be able to receive credit for their military training, depending on their background.

This small school is located in Columbia, South Carolina, and it awarded 3 ’s religious ed degrees in 2020-2021.
CIU also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 2,098 students enrolled at Columbia International University, 86 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. The Baptist College of Florida is located in Graceville, Florida and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 3 ’s religious ed degrees to qualified students.
BCF also took the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 15 of the 418 students enrolled at BCF were GI Bill® students, of which 10 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Lee University not only placed well in this ranking.
